Small Business Administration Artificial Intelligence Adoption Reporting Act of 2026

In general— The Administrator of the Small Business Administration, acting through the Chief Information Officer of the Administration, shall take such actions as may be necessary to implement the recommendations contained in the report of the Comptroller General of the United States titled “Artificial Intelligence: Uses and Risks for Small Business Contracting and Innovation Research” (GAO–26–107828; published May 4, 2026).

Implementation plan— Not later than 45 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator shall submit to the Committee on Small Business of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship of the Senate an implementation plan detailing the actions the Small Business Administration will undertake to establish and implement policies and procedures to disclose artificial intelligence use and consideration of the Administration, in accordance with the requirements of section 7225 of the Advancing American AI Act (40 U.S.C. 11301 note) and the memorandum of the Office of Management and Budget titled “Accelerating Federal Use of AI Through Innovation, Governance, and Public Trust” (M–25–21; signed April 3, 2025), or any successor administrative memorandum or guidance.
