Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Childcare Access for all Recognized Education for Parenting Students Act” or “CARE for Parenting Students Act”.

To clarify the eligibility of certain student populations for child care assistance under the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990.
Sec. 2 Parental activity
Section 658P(4)(C)(i) of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 9858n(4)(C)(i)) is amended by inserting after “program” the following:
Sec. 3 Authorization of additional appropriations
In addition to amounts otherwise authorized to be appropriated under section 658B of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 9858), there is authorized to be appropriated to carry out such Act $850,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 2027 through 2031.
