A BILL
To amend the Agricultural Credit Act of 1978 to enhance the long-term protection of watersheds, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Level of restoration
Section 403 of the Agricultural Credit Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 2203) is amended—
by redesignating subsection (b) as subsection (c); and
by inserting after subsection (a) the following:
“(b) Level of restoration—The Secretary may allow restoration above pre-disaster conditions if that restoration is in the best interest of the long-term health and protection of the watershed.”
