This Act may be cited as “River’s Law”.

A BILL
To amend the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 to include certain safety requirements, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Safety requirements for child care providers
Section 658E(c)(2)(I) of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 9858c(c)(2)(I)) is amended—
in clause (i)(XI), by striking “; and” and inserting a semicolon;
by redesignating clause (ii) as clause (iii); and
by inserting after clause (i) the following:
“(ii) shall include—
“(I) a prohibition on constructing, maintaining, or otherwise operating a pool on the premises of any facility where such services are provided; and
“(II) a requirement to install door and window alarms in any facility where such services are provided; and”
