Service Member Housing Relief Act

A BILL

To amend title 37, United States Code, to lower the threshold required for the Secretary of Defense to make a temporary adjustment to a rate of the basic allowance for housing for members of the uniformed services, and to make permanent the authority to make such adjustment.

Section 1 Temporary adjustment to a rate of the basic allowance for housing for members of the uniformed services: lower threshold; permanent authority

Section 403(b)(8) of title 37, United States Code, is amended—
(1)
in subparagraph (A), by striking “20 percent” and inserting “15 percent”; and
(2)
by striking subparagraph (C).
