Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Manned Aircraft Clarification Act”.
Manned Aircraft Clarification Act
A BILL
To amend title 18, United States Code, to limit penalties relating to the destruction of aircraft to apply only with respect to manned aircraft, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Criminal penalties relating to manned aircraft
Destruction of manned aircraft—
in the section heading, by inserting “manned” before “aircraft or”;
in subsection (a)(1)—
by inserting “manned” before “aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction”; and
by inserting “manned” before “civil”; and
in subsection (b), by inserting “manned” before “civil” each place it appears.
Table of sections amendment— The table of sections for chapter 2 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking the item related to section 32 and inserting the following:
Aircraft piracy— Section 46502(a)(1)(A) of title 49, United States Code, is amended by striking “an aircraft” and inserting “a manned aircraft”.
