A BILL

To amend section 236(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act with respect to the detention of aliens who commit certain property crimes.

This Act may be cited as the “Safeguarding American Property Act of 2025”.

Section 236(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1226(c)) is amended—

(1)

in paragraph (1)(E)(ii), by inserting “trespassing, vandalism, arson,” before “burglary”; and

(2)

in paragraph (2), by striking “and “serious bodily injury”” and inserting ““serious bodily injury”, “trespassing”, “vandalism”, and “arson””.
