This Act may be cited as the “Stop Chinese Communist Prying by Vindicating Intellectual Safeguards in Academia Act of 2025” or the “Stop CCP VISAs Act of 2025”.

A BILL
To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to prohibit the admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Prohibition on admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students
Section 214 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1184) is amended by adding at the end the following:
“(s) Prohibition on admission of Chinese nationals as nonimmigrant students—An alien who is a national of the People's Republic of China may not be issued a visa or otherwise provided status as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15)(F), (J), or (M), for the purpose of conducting research or pursuing a course of study.”
