Sell Your Stocks or Step Down Act

A BILL

To amend title 5, United States Code, to prohibit the President, the Vice President, Members of Congress, senior United States Government officials, and their spouses and dependents from owning or trading stocks, digital assets, and prediction market contracts, and for other purposes.

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Sell Your Stocks or Step Down Act”.

2. Restrictions on trade and ownership of covered investments

(a)

Restrictions— Chapter 131 of title 5, United States Code, is amended by inserting at the end the following subchapter:

Clerical amendment— The table of contents for chapter 131 of title 5, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:
