That Congress—
supports the designation of “National Falls Prevention Awareness Week”;
recognizes that there are evidence-based, cost-effective falls prevention programs and policies;
supports the work of those who collaborate to address risk factors that lead to falls among older adults, including—
Federal, State, and local government entities (including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Administration for Community Living, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development);
the Aging Network;
local community-based organizations;
the public health community;
health care providers;
businesses; and
individuals;
encourages continued efforts to reduce and prevent falls; and
supports Federal investments in falls prevention programs.
