That it is the sense of the Senate that—
the dedication and efforts of Governor Oliver Hazard Perry Morton helped preserve the Union during the Civil War and were of importance to the State of Indiana during that difficult time in United States history;
the continued legacy of Governor Oliver Hazard Perry Morton continues to enrich the community and State of Indiana and he is 1 of Indiana's most notable Hoosiers; and
the dedication and life of Governor Oliver Hazard Perry Morton should be recognized, especially in 2023, which marks the 200th anniversary of his birth.
