American Vehicle Security Act of 2023

A BILL

To adjust the effective date for application of certain amendments made with respect to the credit for new clean vehicles.

This Act may be cited as the “American Vehicle Security Act of 2023”.

(a)

In general— Section 13401(k) of Public Law 117–169 is amended—

(1)

in paragraph (1), by striking “paragraphs (2), (3), (4), and (5)” and inserting “paragraphs (2), (3), and (4)”,

(2)

by striking paragraph (3), and

(3)

by redesignating paragraphs (4) and (5) as paragraphs (3) and (4), respectively.

(b)

Effective date— The amendments made by this section shall take effect as if included in the enactment of section 13401 of Public Law 117–169.
