This Act may be cited as the “Visa Integrity Preservation Act of 2024”.
Visa Integrity Preservation Act of 2024
A BILL
To require all aliens applying for a nonimmigrant visa who are unlawfully present in the United States to submit to an in person interview with a consular officer.
Sec. 2 In person interview with consular officer requirement for aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States
Section 222(h)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1202(h)(2)) is amended—
in subparagraph (E)(iv), by striking “or” at the end;
in subparagraph (F)(iii), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; and
by adding at the end the following:
“(G) is inadmissible under paragraph (6) or (9) of section 212(a).”
