This Act may be cited as the “Fort Gillem Defense Forensics Enhancement Act of 2023”.

A BILL
To amend the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 to extend the authorization for a construction project at Fort Gillem, Georgia.
Sec. 2 Extension of authority to carry out Fort Gillem forensic laboratory project
Notwithstanding section 2002 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (division B of Public Law 116–283; 134 Stat. 4294), the authorization set forth in section 2101(a) of that Act (134 Stat. 4295) for Fort Gillem, Georgia, shall remain in effect until October 1, 2024, or the date of the enactment of an Act authorizing funds for military construction for fiscal year 2025, whichever is later.
