Condemning the Chinese Communist Party for its role in the fentanyl crisis and urging the Biden administration to take certain actions to combat the flow of fentanyl precursors from China to North America.

RESOLUTION

That the House of Representatives—
(1)
condemns the Chinese Communist Party for its role in prolonging the American fentanyl crisis through its inaction in holding the Chinese producers of fentanyl precursors accountable;
(2)
calls on the Biden administration to impose additional sanctions and charge Chinese entities found responsible for supplying fentanyl precursors to Chinese cartels;
(3)
calls on the Biden administration to designate Chinese financial institutions found to be evading, or assisting with the evasion of United States sanctions;
(4)
calls on the Biden administration to impose sanctions against any official within the Chinese Communist Party found to have ties to fentanyl precursor production or trafficking;
(5)
calls on the Biden administration to develop a plan to counter the shipment of fentanyl precursors to North America from China; and
(6)
calls on the Biden administration to add the People’s Republic of China to the list of Major Drug Transit or Major Illicit Drug Producing Countries, as specified under the FENTANYL Results Act (Subtitle C of title LV of Public Law 117–263).
