Home Health Aides for Veterans’ Spouses Act
A BILL
To amend title 38, United States Code, to authorize the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide extended care services to spouses of certain veterans.
Sec. 2 Department of Veterans Affairs provision of extended care services to spouses of certain veterans
Section 1710B of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:
“(f) The Secretary may provide extended care services under this section to the spouse of a veteran in the same manner as such services may be provided to a veteran, if—
“(1) the veteran is over the age of 75; and
“(2) the Secretary determines that under the circumstances, that the provision of extended care services to the spouse is in the best interests of the spouse and the veteran.”
