A BILL

To amend the Infrastructure and Investment and Jobs Act to repeal the authority of the Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of Transportation to maintain an electric vehicle working group, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Free Market Drives Itself Act”.

Sec. 2 Abolishment of electric vehicle working group

(a)

Repeal— Section 25006 of the Infrastructure and Investment and Jobs Act (23 U.S.C. 151 note) and the item relating to such section in section 1(b) of such Act are repealed.

(b)

Prohibition on continuation or reestablishment of working group— The Secretary of Energy and the Secretary of Transportation may not continue or reestablish the electric vehicle working group described in such section, or establish any substantially similar working group or advisory committee.
