This Act may be cited as the “Modernizing the Veterans On-Campus Experience Act of 2024”.
Modernizing the Veterans On-Campus Experience Act of 2024
A BILL
To amend title 38, United States Code, to make certain improvements to the provision of on-campus educational and vocational counseling by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Department of Veterans Affairs on-campus educational and vocational counseling
Section 3697B(a) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—
by inserting “(1)” before “The Secretary”;
by striking “employees of the Department who provide such services under section 3697A of this title.” and inserting “an employee of the Department who holds a bachelors degree or a more advanced degree in a relevant field of study.”; and
by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
“(2) An employee of the Department who provides counseling services under this section—
“(A) may provide such services on the campuses of more than one institution of higher learning; and
“(B) may not provide such services to more than a total of 25 individuals at any one time.”
