No Loan Forgiveness for Hamas Supporters Act

A BILL

To prohibit any person convicted of an unlawful activity on or after October 7, 2023, on a college campus from being eligible for public service loan forgiveness.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “No Loan Forgiveness for Hamas Supporters Act”.

Sec. 2 Prohibition of funds

(a)
In general— Any person convicted of an unlawful activity on or after October 7, 2023, on a campus of an institution of higher education shall be ineligible for the public service loan forgiveness program under section 455(m) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1087e(m)).
(b)
Definition— In this section, the term unlawful activity means—
(1)
an act of physical violence, as defined in section 5104 of title 40, United States Code; or
(2)
any other violation of State or Federal law.
