Enhancing Intelligence Collection on Foreign Drug Traffickers Act of 2024
A BILL
To amend the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 to include counternarcotics in the definition of foreign intelligence.
Sec. 2 Inclusion of counternarcotics in definition of foreign intelligence
Section 101(e)(1) of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (50 U.S.C. 1801) is amended—
in subparagraph (B), by striking “; or” and inserting a semicolon; and
by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:
“(D) international production, distribution, or financing of illicit synthetic drugs, opioids, cocaine, or other drugs driving overdose deaths, or precursors of any aforementioned; or”
