Defense Contract Inflation Adjustment Act of 2023

A BILL

To modify and extend the temporary authority of the President to modify certain contracts and options based on the impacts of inflation, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Defense Contract Inflation Adjustment Act of 2023”.

Sec. 2 Modification and extension of temporary authority to modify certain contracts and options based on the impacts of inflation

Section 1 of Public Law 85–804 (50 U.S.C. 1431) is amended—
(1)
in subsection (b), by adding at the end the following new sentence: “If any such amounts are so specifically provided, the Secretary may use them for such purposes.”; and
(2)
in subsection (e), by striking “December 31, 2023” and inserting “December 31, 2024”.
