A BILL
To make Ecuador eligible for designation as a beneficiary country under the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act.
Sec. 2 Eligibility of Ecuador for designation as a beneficiary country under Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act
In general— Section 212(b) of the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (19 U.S.C. 2702(b)) is amended by inserting after “Dominica” the following new item:
Sense of Congress— It is the sense of Congress that the President should, not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, issue a proclamation designating Ecuador as a CBTPA beneficiary country (as such term is defined in section 213(b)(5)(B) of the Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (19 U.S.C. 2703(b)(5)(B)).
