A BILL
To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to require adjustments to the thrifty food plan to be budget-neutral, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Adjustments to the thrifty food plan in the supplemental nutrition assistance program
Section 3(u) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012(u)) is amended in the matter preceding paragraph (1) by inserting after the second sentence the following: “Each re-evaluation shall be budget-neutral and adjust the cost of the diet only in accordance with paragraphs (1) through (4), as applicable.”.
