Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “CHAMPVA Online Act”.

A BILL
To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide for the online administration of the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Online administration of Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs
Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall—
establish a system under which applications for benefits under the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs may be submitted electronically through an internet website of the Department (in addition to by mail or fax); and
take such other steps as may be necessary to ensure the online administration of such program, including by promulgating such internet website.
