A BILL
To amend the consumer product safety laws to repeal the exclusion of pistols, revolvers, and other firearms from the definition of consumer product under such laws.
Sec. 2 Repeal of exclusion of pistols, revolvers, and other firearms
Definition of consumer product— Section 3(a)(5) of the Consumer Product Safety Act (15 U.S.C. 2052(a)(5)) is amended by striking subparagraph (E).
Rulemaking authority— Section 3 of the Consumer Product Safety Commission Improvements Act of 1976 (15 U.S.C. 2080 note) is amended by striking subsection (e).
