This Act may be cited as the “IHS Contract Support Cost Amendment Act”.
IHS Contract Support Cost Amendment Act
A BILL
To amend the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act to secure existing Tribal contract support cost reimbursements, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Amendments to the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act
Section 106(a) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. 5325(a)) is amended—
in paragraph (2)—
by striking “but which” and inserting “including activities that”;
in subparagraph (A)—
by striking “respective”;
by striking “his” and inserting “the Secretary’s”; and
by striking “or”;
in subparagraph (B), by striking the period and inserting “; or”; and
by adding at the end the following:
“(C) would otherwise be carried out by the Secretary in support of the Secretary’s direct operation of the program, but for which the costs are not fully covered by the amount of funds required under paragraph (1).”
in paragraph (3)(A), by inserting “amounts” after “duplicate any funding”.
