To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to extend the requirement for State Medicaid plans to provide coverage for medication-assisted treatment.
Sec. 2 Extending requirement for State Medicaid plans to provide coverage for medication-assisted treatment
In general— Section 1905(a)(29) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d(a)(29)) is amended by striking “2025” and inserting “2035”.
Conforming amendment— Section 1006(b)(4)(A) of the Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities Act (42 U.S.C. 1396a note) is amended by striking “2025” and inserting “2035”.
