Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “EANS Extension Act”.
EANS Extension Act
A BILL
To extend the availability of funds for Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools under the Education Stabilization Fund and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
Sec. 2 Extending the availability of EANS funds
EANS I— Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any funds reserved under section 312(a)(2) of division M of title III of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (Public Law 116–260; 134 Stat. 1925) shall remain available through September 30, 2023, and shall be subject to the requirements of section 421(b) of the General Education Provisions Act (20 U.S.C. 1225(b)).
EANS II—
In general— Section 2002(a) of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117–2; 135 Stat. 23) is amended by striking “2023” and inserting “2024”.
GEPA— The amendment made by paragraph (1) shall be subject to the requirements of section 421(b) of the General Education Provisions Act (20 U.S.C. 1225(b)).
