Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “REAL ID Eligibility for Ukraine Act” or the “RIDE for Ukraine Act”.
REAL ID Eligibility for Ukraine Act
A BILL
To make nationals of Ukraine who are present in the United States eligible for REAL ID benefits, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 REAL ID benefits
Section 401(b) of the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022 (8 U.S.C. 1101 note(b)) is amended—
in paragraph (1), by striking “and” at the end;
in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting “; and”; and
by adding at the end the following:
“(3) a driver’s license or identification card under section 202 of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (division B of Public Law 109–13; U.S.C. 30301 note), notwithstanding subsection (c)(2)(B) of such Act.”
