Section 1 Increase in minimum amount of civil penalty imposed for violating AFIDA

Section 3(b) of the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 (7 U.S.C. 3502(b)) is amended by striking “shall not exceed 25 percent” and inserting “shall be at least 50 percent”.

To amend the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 to increase the minimum amount of a civil penalty imposed for violating such Act, and for other purposes.
