S. 5319 (Introduced in Senate) — To establish procedures for the removal of the Architect of the Capitol.

Section 319 of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1990 (2 U.S.C. 1801) is amended—

(1)

by redesignating subsection (b) as subsection (c); and

(2)

by inserting after subsection (a) the following:

“(b) Removal—The Architect of the Capitol may be removed at any time by—

“(1) impeachment; or

“(2) joint resolution of Congress, only for—

“(A) permanent disability;

“(B) inefficiency;

“(C) neglect of duty;

“(D) malfeasance; or

“(E) a felony or conduct involving moral turpitude.”
