S. 1639 (Introduced in Senate) — To amend the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to reauthorize the energy efficiency and conservation block grant program.

Section 1 Reauthorization of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program

Section 548(a) of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (42 U.S.C. 17158(a)) is amended—

(1)

in paragraph (1)—

(A)

by striking “$2,000,000,000” and inserting “$10,000,000,000”; and

(B)

by striking “2008 through 2012” and inserting “2021 through 2030”; and

(2)

in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking “program” and all that follows through “2012” in subparagraph (C) and inserting “program $50,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2021 through 2030”.

To amend the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to reauthorize the energy efficiency and conservation block grant program.
