Section 1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Expanding the Maritime Environmental and Technical Assistance Program”.
A BILL
To authorize appropriations for the maritime environmental and technical assistance program, and for other purposes.
“(e) Uses—The results of activities conducted under subsection (b)(1) shall be used to inform the policy decisions of the United States related to domestic regulations and to the United States position on matters before the International Maritime Organization.”
“(g) Air emissions defined—In this section, the term air emissions means release into the air of—
“(1) air pollutants, as such term is defined in section 302 of the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7602); or
“(2) gases listed in section 731(2) of the Global Environmental Protection Assistance Act of 1989 (22 U.S.C. 7901(2)).”
