Federal Protective Service 50th Anniversary Resolution

recognizes the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Protective Service;

recognizes the Federal Protective Service for the critical role it plays in protecting the people and property in the Federal Government;

recognizes the essential function that the Federal Protective Service plays in enhancing and supplementing security measures at special widespread events such as presidential inaugurations and national conventions;

applauds the modernized, whole-of-government approach to the protection of Federal infrastructure through facility management to threat detection, law enforcement, and technology driven physical security; and

commends the commitment of the Federal Protective Service to protect the American people, the Federal Government, and its facilities with honor and integrity.
