Increasing Human Trafficking Awareness Act

A BILL

To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to require the display by the Department of Homeland Security of appropriate signage throughout airports to increase the public’s awareness of the signs of human trafficking, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Increasing Human Trafficking Awareness Act”.

Sec. 2 Airport signage to increase public awareness of human trafficking

Subparagraph (B) of section 434(e)(6) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (6 U.S.C. 242(e)(6)) is amended by inserting “, including by displaying appropriate signage, as well as such indicator cards, fact sheets, pamphlets, posters, and brochures, throughout airports, including at airport security screening checkpoints, to increase the public’s awareness of the signs of human trafficking” before the semicolon.
