To amend the National Trails System Act to designate the Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail, and for other purposes.

“(31) Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail
“(A) In general—The Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail, a trail extending approximately 287 miles across the States of Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina, as generally depicted on the map entitled “Benton MacKaye Trail Overview Map”, dated January 6, 2022.
“(B) Availability of map—The map described in subparagraph (A) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the Forest Service and the National Park Service.
“(C) Administration—The Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail shall be administered by the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Chief of the Forest Service, in consultation with—
“(i) other Federal agencies;
“(ii) State, Tribal, regional, and local agencies; and
“(iii) the Benton MacKaye Trail Association.”
