This Act may be cited as the “Ports Not Windmills Act”.
Ports Not Windmills Act
A BILL
To amend title 46, United States Code, to prohibit certain grants from financing or refinancing projects that support the development, manufacturing, staging, maintenance, or deployment of offshore wind energy infrastructure, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Port development
Section 50302 of title 46, United States Code, is amended—
in subsection (c)(4)—
in subparagraph (A)(ii) by striking “; or” and inserting a semicolon;
in subparagraph (B) by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; and
by adding at the end the following:
“(C) to finance or refinance projects that support the development, manufacturing, staging, maintenance, or deployment of offshore wind energy infrastructure.”
in subsection (d)(4)—
in subparagraph (B) by striking “; or” and inserting a semicolon;
in subparagraph (C) by striking the period at the end and inserting “; or”; and
by adding at the end the following:
“(D) finance or refinance projects that support the development, manufacturing, staging, maintenance, or deployment of offshore wind energy infrastructure.”
