This Act may be cited as the “Trailer Safety Improvement Act”.
Trailer Safety Improvement Act
A BILL
To amend title 23, United States Code, to include education on trailer safety in State highway safety programs.
Sec. 2 Trailer safety programs
Section 402(a)(2)(A) of title 23, United States Code, is amended—
in clause (xiii) by striking “and” at the end;
in clause (xiv) by striking the semicolon and inserting “; and”; and
by inserting after clause (xiv) the following:
“(xv) to educate the public about proper and safe usage of light- and medium-duty trailers, including required safety equipment and preventive maintenance for safety;”
