This Act may be cited as the “NYCHA Accountability Act of 2022”.
NYCHA Accountability Act of 2022
A BILL
To direct the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development to submit to the Congress a report on the New York City Housing Authority, and for other purposes.
Sec. 2 Report to the Congress on New York City Housing Authority
Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development shall submit to the Congress a report that contains—
an analysis of health and safety conditions with respect to dwelling units owned or administered by the New York City Housing Authority;
an analysis of the New York City Housing Authority’s compliance with Federal, State, and local housing regulations;
an audit of the Federal funds received by the New York City Housing Authority during fiscal years 2014 through 2022; and
additional findings and recommendations of the Inspector General of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
