A BILL

To prohibit Federal public benefits for or naturalization of any alien who receives a payment pursuant to an agreement to settle certain civil actions, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “No More Free Ride Act”.

Sec. 2 Prohibiting Federal public benefits for and naturalization of certain aliens

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any alien who entered the United States unlawfully and receives a payment pursuant to an agreement to settle a civil action brought by the alien for any harm sustained by the alien as a result of enforcement of the immigration laws, shall be ineligible for any Federal public benefit (as such term is defined in section 401(c) of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1611)) and naturalization as a citizen of the United States.
