National Security Council Membership Act of 2021

A BILL

To amend the National Security Act of 1947 to require the National Security Council’s membership to include the Secretary of Homeland Security.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “National Security Council Membership Act of 2021”.

Sec. 2 National Security Council membership

Paragraph (1) of section 101(c) of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 3021) is amended by inserting “the Secretary of Homeland Security,” after “the Secretary of the Treasury,”.
