A BILL

To amend the Controlled Substances Act to increase the number of days before which certain controlled substances for maintenance or detoxification treatment must be administered, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the “Improving Patient Access to Care and Treatment Act”.

Sec. 2 Increase in number of days before which certain controlled substances must be administered

Section 309A(a)(5) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 829a(a)(5)) is amended by striking “14 days” and inserting “60 days”.
