1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Reproductive Health Information for Veterans Act”.
Reproductive Health Information for Veterans Act
A BILL
To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide abortion counseling to a veteran who has an unwanted pregnancy.
2. Abortion counseling
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall provide abortion counseling to a veteran who has an unwanted pregnancy. Such counseling shall include—
options for the veteran regarding unwanted pregnancy, including termination;
accurate health information based on the health of the veteran regarding options described in paragraph (1); and
information regarding the location nearest to the residence of the veteran where the veteran may receive safe medical or surgical termination of the unwanted pregnancy.
