That the Senate—
designates December 10, 2019, as “Human Rights Day”;
recognizes the 71st anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
reaffirms the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
supports the right of human rights defenders all over the world to promote the fundamental freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; and
encourages the people of the United States—
to observe Human Rights Day; and
to continue a commitment to upholding freedom, democracy, and human rights around the globe.
