To provide for conservation, enhanced recreation opportunities, and development of renewable energy in the California Desert Conservation Area, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title; table of contents

(a)

Short title— This Act may be cited as the “California Desert Protection and Recreation Act of 2019”.

(b)

Table of contents— The table of contents of this Act is as follows:

Sec. 2 Definitions

In this Act:

(1)

Conservation Area— The term “Conservation Area” means the California Desert Conservation Area.

(2)

Secretary— The term “Secretary” means—

(A)

the Secretary of the Interior, with respect to land administered by the Department of the Interior; or

(B)

the Secretary of Agriculture, with respect to National Forest System land.

(3)

State— The term “State” means the State of California.
