S. 434 — what changed

To require the collection of certain data relating to Bureau of Land Management land acquisitions, and for other purposes.

1. Bureau of Land Management land acquisition data

changed Not later than 120 days after the date on which the President submits to Congress the budget The Secretary of the United States for fiscal year 2020, Interior (acting through the Secretary Director of the Interior shall submit to Congress a report that describes—Bureau of Land Management) shall—

(1)
changed all Federal collect centralized data on land holdings under acquired for administration by the jurisdiction Bureau of Land Management using amounts from the Secretary Land and Water Conservation Fund established under section 200302 of the Interior; andtitle 54, United States Code, including data on—
(A)
added the method used for the acquisition; and
(B)
added the type of interest acquired;
(2)
changed the total cost of maintaining not later than 1 year after the Federal land holdings described under paragraph (1) for each date of fiscal years 2017 through 2019, including an accounting enactment of holdings this Act, and expenditures by each Federal agency with respect annually thereafter, submit to Congress a report describing the land holdings.information collected under paragraph (1); and
(3)
added develop guidance to ensure that land acquisition data collected under paragraph (1) is entered correctly and properly coded in the data system of the Bureau of Land Management.
