Damon Paul Nelson and Matthew Young Pollard Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2018 and 2019

A BILL

To authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2019 for intelligence and intelligence-related activities of the United States Government, the Community Management Account, and the Central Intelligence Agency Retirement and Disability System.

1. Short title; table of contents

(a)
Short title— This Act may be cited as the “Damon Paul Nelson and Matthew Young Pollard Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Years 2018 and 2019”.

2. Definitions

In this Act:
(1)
Congressional intelligence committees— The term congressional intelligence committees has the meaning given such term in section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 3003).
(2)
Intelligence community— The term intelligence community has the meaning given such term in such section.

3. Explanatory statement

The explanatory statement regarding this Act, printed in the Senate section of the Congressional Record, by the Chairman of the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate, shall have the same effect with respect to the implementation of this Act as if it were a joint explanatory statement of a committee of conference.
