To increase emergency and disaster relief response, build safer communities, strengthen Second Amendment rights, streamline administrative reviews, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title; table of contents

(a)
Short title— This Act may be cited as the “Withdrawing from Overburdensome Reviews and Keeping us Safe Act” or the “WORKS Act”.
(b)
Table of contents— The table of contents for this Act is as follows:

Sec. 2 Definitions

In this Act:

Department— The term “Department” means the Department of Transportation.
(2)
Secretary— The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Transportation.

Sec. 3 Effective date

This Act and the amendments made by this Act take effect on October 1, 2020.
