1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the “Providing Recovery Opportunities & Mitigating Industry’s Shifting Economics (PROMISE) Act”.

3. Definitions
In this Act, the following apply:
Department— The term Department means the Department of the Interior.
Electric generating station owned in part by the Department— The term electric generating station owned in part by the Department means an electric generating station in which the Department or any of its subagencies owns or has the right to use more than 20 percent of the electricity generated at a facility that currently produces over 2,000 megawatts of electricity.
Secretary— The term Secretary means the Secretary of the Interior.
