To restore the financial solvency and improve the governance of the United States Postal Service in order to ensure the efficient and affordable nationwide delivery of mail, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Short title; table of contents

(a)

Short title— This Act may be cited as the “Postal Service Reform Act of 2017”.

(b)

Table of contents— The table of contents of this Act is as follows:

Sec. 2 Definitions

In this Act—

(1)

the term “Postal Service” means the United States Postal Service; and

(2)

the term “postal retail facility” means a post office, post office branch, post office classified station, or other facility which is operated by the Postal Service, and the primary function of which is to provide retail postal services, but does not include a contractor-operated facility offering postal services.
